迪化街金倫鎖行創立於1954年迄今由第二代─陳爾平師傅自主經營。陳師傅自國中畢業即克紹箕裘，入行配鎖至今已40餘年，繼承其父親「良心事業」之精神，務必讓服務過的客人安心、放心。
台北金倫鎖行介紹
始於1954年的「建中五金行」
台北金倫鎖行成立於1954年，由第一代師傅 陳金倫先生所創立，原名為「建中五金行」，坐落於迪化街1段29號(現郵局對面)。創建後因稅捐處告知名稱已經被人註冊走，而後更名為金倫行。
由於父親是鎖匠，第二代師傅 陳爾平從小就因耳濡目染認識開鎖技術，但說到學習，直至民國63年才開始正式踏進鎖行領域，並於30歲才開始正式接業。
除了技術外，心正更重要。
父親第一次訓勉至今陳爾平師傅仍記憶猶新 ─「這個行業需要有正確強烈的職業道德」，因為工作，鎖匠常常需要進入別人家庭，就會知道家裡的裝潢細節，如果鎖匠心術不正就有可能會對這個家庭負面影響甚至是危害。 因此，鎖匠的人心要正，當進到人家家裡，即使貴重的東西擺在你面前，你都應該要不為所動，因為你的一舉一動，都有可能影響到一家人的身家財產安全。
客戶的信任，是種光榮。
「以前年輕的時候，我會覺得幫人裝鎖配鎖…不是一個很好的職業。因為有這種需求，往往是因為客戶碰到很緊急的困擾，而我們主要是去賺客戶意外財….我會稱這個職業是必要之惡；但做久漸漸發現，其實客人常常找我去，表示是對我的一種信任，對我人品的的一種肯定，而這種信任感對我來說是很光榮的一件事。」

從1954年至今，已經六十幾個年頭。從一開始迪化街從地方大盤商的聚集地、中途大盤商地位動搖進入短暫沒落，到至今的觀光重地；同樣的，金倫鎖行見證迪化接變化的同時，服務範圍與重要主顧也隨著經營時間逐漸擴大、加深，持續發光發熱服務更多客戶。

大門鑰匙壞了,跑了大台北地區二十多家鎖店,都搖頭說這鑰匙是特製胚，沒法子複製，勸我換鎖。最後才找到金倫鎖行老闆有能力複製鑰匙,而且價格很實在,四十年專業鎖匠是真材實料的。
昨晚鐵門喇叭鎖壞了，無法出入，一早打給陳老闆馬上就來幫忙換鎖，電話裡有先告知，因為鐵門的孔洞可能要用到貴幾百的日本鎖。原先我只想換普通喇叭鎖就好，但看老闆很努力的幫我安裝似乎孔洞真的不合，我當下要求換成日本鎖。因為鐵門底部一直摩擦地磚，造成諸多問題，陳老闆很熱心的建議可用一些方式來解決，讓我覺得他為人和做生意是可信的（也打過兩家詢價），給大家參考我的經驗。
車頂架上的鑰匙遺失了循著網路評論找到金倫鎖行老闆40年的功夫確實不是蓋來來回回沒幾下就打出了對應的鑰匙花不到20分鐘吧重點是鑰匙對位插下轉起來完全沒有頓挫或卡卡的感覺簡直比原廠還原廠這下省了重新跟歐洲原廠訂制鑰匙的時間價格也是合理實在大推
